Presentation skills
are vital skills, and anybody can make good ones. Top presenters simply
follow the rules. You'll learn how to both prepare and deliver a presentation
using appropriate visual aids. You'll be video-taped twice. You're coached
by a professional actor, writer and speaker. The course is practical,
professional and fun!

"How
to Present Like a Professional" - (The Advanced Course)
Six months after completing
the standard course, you should be ready for the advanced one. You will
capitalise on the skills learnt on the first course. This time you will
present two prepared speeches (both of which are video-taped). On the
first afternoon, you'll spend time (with your sleeves rolled up) looking
for the best ways to convert your message into graphic images - both verbal
and real. You'll learn how to use rhetoric and language to great effect.
You'll learn how to write down your speech. . and deliver it like a professional.
You'll learn how to increase audience participation, handle 'question
& answer' sessions, and. - on the second day - you'll be part of a
team presentation lasting around 40 minutes. The course is highly practical,
and can be skewered to precisely fit your needs. (As is usually the case,
it's also fun.)

"How
to Present Like a Professional" - (The One Day Course)
If
you don't have the time (or, perhaps, the budget) for the two-day course,
then this one-day version of the consultancy's flagship course can help.
You will not be short-changed. It delivers as much information and practise
as is seriously possible in just one day's effort. Your first speech will
be captured on video for an assessment. You'll learn 4 absolutely essential
techniques that professionals use to get their messages across (and, of
course, much more). At the end of the day you'll know how to make a first-class
speech . . . and how to handle those nerves, too. The course is practical,
purposeful and fun. You'll learn a lot.

"Crafting,
Writing and Delivering a Speech"
This course is about
the pure art of speechmaking. (It's useful, too, for the speaker who needs
to read their speech out word for word.)This course teaches you the art
and craft of speechmaking - the research, the gathering and organising
of material and techniques for delivery. For big occasions - international
conferences and the like - many presenters prefer to fully write out their
speeches and read them word-for-word. They need special treatment. Most
people write them in written language, which doesn't work. This course
will teach you about spoken English and rhetorical (read: persuasive)
language, and will teach you both how to write it and deliver it. You'll
work hard on this course, but have fun, too.

"Presenting
. . . Technical Information"
This is a course for
professionals including, among others, scientists, geologists, engineers,
lawyers, accountants, and financial-planners. About a rough sea, the poet
might well say, ' the tumbling billows of the main' (Shakespeare). An
oceanographer, however, will be more interested in telling an audience
that, 'the significant wave height was 7 metres'. This course teaches
you how to talk about facts in an interesting way, how to handle audio-visual
aids appropriately and how to mount a technical presentation so that anyone
can both understand it and enjoy it. You'll never again worry about dealing
with 'dry' topics again.
